Adoption/Foster Care

Could Proverbs 31:8 be anymore beautiful or clear? Mix Proverbs 31:8 with James 1:27, along  with the handfuls of times orphans, children, and the fatherless are mentioned in Gods word; the Church should find no muddled message in each members role in orphan care.  The message is clear and articulated in clear transparency.

There is a time for family preservation, there is a time for birth mother advocacy, there is a time to adopt,  there is a time to open doors to children who are in foster care, and there is a time to wrap arms around a family who is fostering. Whatever your role is, it is time for you to be actively involved. As James 1:27 states “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction.” The word visit is an ongoing verb. Not a one time check off a to do list. I encourage every believer  to find their role in orphan care.
